Hi, welcome to my site, I am currently working as a Radiology Technician Nurse.
My job primarily focuses on preparing patients for imaging and diagnostic procedures including x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs. These tests are very important, without them doctors would not be able to see inside a patient's body to diagnose them accurately.
To become a nurse I acquired a BSN, following a four-year course at a nursing college and a placement in a very busy teaching hosptal. This was great experience helping me understand the many different procedures and how to best care for my patients.
Communication skills are essential, as you are required to work closely with a number of other medical professionals and staff at the hospital. You will also need to have excellent people skills, as you will see a lot of patients each day and only have a limited amount of time with them.
